Meet Our New HR Award Team 👋
The new HR Award team would like to introduce themselves—and they’re doing it a bit differently than you’re used to. Want to see how?
In October 2022, we were given the opportunity to visit the University College Cork in Ireland, which has successfully renewed its HR Excellence in Research Award for the second time in April 2021. We travelled together with colleagues from the MU Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Brno University of Technology.
Our very kind host was Mary Kate O'Regan, who represents UCC as an HR Business Manager, represents European Commission as an ambassador and Lead Assessor of the HR Excellence in Research Award, HRS4R, and is our great role model.
Our hosts prepared for us a varied and inspiring program: research funding at UCC, employment in the Irish public sector, recruitment and attraction of researchers, training and development of PhD students and staff, and the innovative CARDEA project focusing on the role of Research Managers. We refreshed motivation for preparatory works on our faculty HR Excellence in Research Award renewal; and got useful tips from the training sessions led by Mary Kate O’Regan. We also got a great space to present the implementation of the HRS4R at our faculty.
We thank our hosts for welcoming us, stimulating and beneficial discussions and the great sharing.
